There are no firewall restrictions placed on our servers for streaming video. In fact, with our new cloud provider, video will be streamed from the closest location possible to where a learner is located. Nonetheless, if the clients’ office/workplace has a restriction on playing from Vimeo or Youtube servers and a learner is using a connection in these premises, then the learner will not be able to see/stream these videos. From our technical standpoint we cannot know if there will be firewall issues in the learner’s connection without an additional calculation effort that will not always render good results.
If a client “bumps” into these types of issues, we suggest choosing the option of uploading the video directly into our server and setting their LMS subdomain name (URL) as a permitted site in their content filter or firewall.
